World with my eyes - part 2

During our stay in N.Y.C. in November 2013, our friends showed us the High Line Park, a 2.3 km section of the elevated former New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line, which runs along the lower west side of Manhattan. It has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway and exists since 2009.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes in NYC hatten wir das Glück, dass unsere Freunde Adriana und Dan aus New Jersey einige überraschende Plätze in Manhattan zeigten, unter anderem die High Line,eine über 2,33 km erhaltene, aber nicht mehr als solche genutzte Hochbahntrasse im Westen von Manhattan,die zu einer Parkanlage umgebaut wurde und seid 2009 für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich ist. Auch wenn wir im Winter dort waren, hatte dieser Park eine durchaus charmante Anziehungskraft.

During our Trip in the U.S. we stayed a couple of days in New Jersey also known as Ironbound. On the way to Manhattan by taking the train, a lot of impressive industrial steel constructions caught my attention and were worth taking some good pictures.

Während unseres Trip in die U.S. verweilten wir einige Tage in New Jersey auch bekannt als "Eisernes Band". Auf der Zugfahrt nach Manhattan wurde ich dann auf viele massive Stahl Konstruktionen aufmerksam, die einige gute Fotos abgaben.
